What Is Welcome Corps?
The Welcome Corps is an exciting, new service opportunity for Americans interested in welcoming refugees seeking freedom and safety. This new program empowers everyday Americans to welcome refugees arriving through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program.
The Welcome Corps has two phases: matching and naming.
Matching allows private sponsor groups to be matched with a refugee that is already being considered for resettlement in the U.S.
Naming allows private sponsor groups to identify a refugee they know who they would like to sponsor.
What Would You Do?
Working in groups of at least five individuals, private sponsors take the place of a Resettlement Agency to collectively support refugees’ resettlement and integration as they build new lives in the United States. As a sponsor, you work together in supportive groups to provide the support and resources that refugees need to become self-sufficient in their new communities.
